The second experimental run was conducted by Lucy MacKenzie on September 19th, 2014. The initial channel template was 25 cm wide by 2 cm deep.
The flume was first run with at a low flow of 0.3 L/s for approximately 3 hours during which little morphologic change occurred and sediment transport remained low. Discharge was then raised to 1 L/s for approximately 45 min. Degradation and little lateral erosion occurred in the top couple meters of the flume while massive widening occurred in the lower portion (as seen in the video).
