Foreign Language Assistant Program
In co-operation with the German Pedagogical Exchange Office (PAD), the Canadian Association of University Teachers of German is accepting applications for positions as English-language assistants in the Federal Republic of Germany. Information and application forms are available from:

The assistants spend 9 months at a school (starting in September) in Germany, working 12 hours per week as resource persons under the direction of teachers of English. They are expected to help with conversation and oral practice of English and should also be able to provide information about everyday life and culture in Canada.

August/September to May
Eligibility
- Students majoring in German or any other subject who will have completed a first degree (BA) upon assuming the position.
- Must be native speakers of English and a long-time resident of Canada.
- Must have very good knowledge of German.
- Should be less than 30 years of age.
Award
There is a minimum cost-of-living stipend of 1000, – Euro per month, which includes insurance and is tax-exempt.
