Reading is a great way to improve your German. Look for texts that are relatively easy and short. Read about subjects that you find interesting and/or are familiar with. You’ll see that you can understand quite a bit!

Easy: Go to Germany for a while; in this street, you can read, listen and see what the people who live and work there have to say. Read news for kids or find your favorite “childrennewspaper“.  Kaleidoskop – Alltag in Deutschland has texts about everyday life in Germany.

Use Google, Wikipedia or Spiegel to find texts.

Some websites like Tatsachen über Deutschland / Facts about Germany have translated texts; open them in German and one of 18 languages available. Deutsche Welle offers information and news in 30 languages.
