My name is Max Marks.\u00a0 I’m twenty years old as of writing this, and prior to going to UBC I lived in Toronto.\u00a0 I lived there my whole life, with the exception of a few years on a farm in rural Ontario which I have no lasting memories of except for falling down the stairs a bunch of times. I love Toronto, so I guess my family was a bit surprised that I wanted to go to school in Vancouver, but I thought the change of pace would be good for me.\u00a0 So far I’ve been right.<\/span><\/p>\n

I am currently living with my girlfriend and fellow blogger Samantha Horton. We have a fish named Ferdinand whose favorite pastime is pretending to be dead and then swimming around right when we’re ready to flush him down the toilet.I plan to major in Philosophy, which has a lot more career opportunities than the legions of comedians and science majors will have you believe.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve been described as angry, cynical, anti-social, and intelligent. I am in strong opposition to all of these claims. I personally describe myself as a giant squid.<\/span><\/p>\n

At any given time, I will claim I am planning to be a writer, a lawyer, or a philosopher. All I know is I want to stop taking money from my parents before I turn 30.<\/span><\/p>\n

I like food. I would advise you to do the same. Advocates will often claim they can’t live without it.<\/span><\/p>\n
