This lab consisted on analyzing the relationships between children’s language test scores and several socioeconomic variables in the City of Vancouver. Variables included demographic traits such as family size, single or dual parent,s immigrant status, location, and income. This lab was carried out in ArcGIS Pro using the Ordinal Least Squares linear regression (GLR) and Geographically Weighted Regression (GLR) functions.
The GWR analyzed variables as a percentage of each surrounding neighbourhood in order to generate maps of how each variable impacts the correlation. R2 value maps were also created to better understand clustering.
