I\u2019m majoring in geography and, as such, I have grown very friendly with ArcGIS. I think we\u2019ve developed a love hate relationship. When the software is running properly and I know what to do, it\u2019s great! And when I get stuck, it\u2019s a nightmare! But, despite it all, I\u2019ve grown to love using the program and appreciate the process and results of GIS analysis.<\/p>\n<p>Geographic information systems (GIS) has become a fast growing field as location becomes a growing factor in analysis results. This blog is designed to share what I have learned while taking the Research in GIScience course at UBC. While GIS can be applied to a wide range of fields, this course in particular focuses on crime, ecology and health geography.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello, hello!
