It’s alive

(EDIT: Apparently the main Blog Squad page doesn’t like fonts, so if you’re confused, you’re missing a strikethrough or something, sorry D: )

You might have justifiable trust issues with me right now (if you have any issues with me at all), but regardless, I want to go on record as saying I’m going to make this blog live.

I don’t want to make lame excuses Here it is: Basically, I’ve wanted to make this blog into something awesome from the beginning (yes, fail so far), and the first thing step I wanted to take towards that is see what I could do with the page to make it feel like a real website. I never did that at the beginning of the semester, which was a bad idea because when the semester started to gobble me up I didn’t think I could make quicker blogs about anything and have people be interested enough in my sketchy page to come back a second time. Then the semester swallowed me entirely when midterm and term paper season set in, and I was a goner.

There was an effort, really. For instance, I took an extensive amount of photographs for instructions to make a couple of pita pizzas I alway make myself when I need a quick meal. And then I realized, maybe tuna, banana peppers and cheese cooked on a pita isn’t really a recipe, not to mention something most people would consider food. My common sense takes a while to set in like that.

Excuses aside, I’m genuinely sorry to anyone that took an interest in or even read the commitments I made in my earlier posts. There is so much to talk about and I was foolish for not taking advantage of it sooner. HOWEVER, I am still going to hold it off until the break so I can dedicate entire days to making this thing work instead of just rushing it and losing my enthusiasm and then disappear again for exams.

Also, an apology to the awesome people that run Blog Squad and who gave me this opportunity. The fact that I crashed your awesome get together without having done much doesn’t help my “didn’t have the time” excuse so much.

In other news, I got accepted into Arts Co-op, which I’m excited about and is one more thing I have to talk about. And there was an awesome comic strip in the last Ubyssey.

You know you’re a little too immature when you pick up your school newspaper to read the two comic strips in the back.
