Recently there are many rumors surrounding Google and Asus preparing to launch a new tablet that has a 32gb capacity. Not too long ago, a Japanese consumer ordered a 16gb nexus 7 and instead received a Nexus 7 with a 32gb storage capacity. With apple currently owning more than 50% of the tablet market the (soon to be released) Nexus 7 will without a doubt bring more consumers as the major complaint about the 16gb Nexus 7 was that there was only one and only one storage capacity for the nexus 7.
Google also has shown that they are taking the tablet market seriously, as they sent out a checklist for developers to develop applications, although it cannot be confirmed whether or not this checklist is mandatory or not however this will truly help the android/tablet market as there are currently 2 times the amount of applications available for the IOS devices compared to android.
In my opinion, competition between giant firms such as apple, Google and other firms means only good. As the firms would spend more money on research and development to innovate and think of many new creative and innovative ideas creating the ever so important points of parity that draws consumers towards their brand.
