How to use HONEY for overnight beauty!

You can use honey for glowing skin as well as gorgeous hair!

* DRY LIPS:  Exfoliate your lips by rubbing sugar on them with your finger or cut open a half of a lemon and then dip it in sugar and rub onto your lips. Then apply a thin layer of honey on your lips before going to bed. OR you can mix honey and vaseline/aquaphor and apply it before bed. And then wake up to beautiful lips!

*SPLIT ENDS: Mix two teaspoons of honey with one teaspoon of honey and apply it as a moisture treatment.

*PIMPLE/ACNE: Use a cotton swab and dab a dot of honey on the infected area before bedtime.

*MOISTURIZER: For glowing skin, add a small amount of honey to your night moisturizer.

*SCARS: To help lighten a scar, apply honey to the incision sight and place a bandage over the honey.

*CUTICLES: Dip fingernails in honey to soften your cuticles.

Chicken Noodle Soup

Homestyle Chicken Noodle Soup (in less than 30 minutes!)

Ingredients:
1/2 of medium onion, chopped
1 bag of egg noodles (you can use either medium or wide)

2 cans of cooked chunk chicken breast (I like the Tyson brand), strained or OR use cooked or roasted chicken

1 can of sliced carrots, strained

Water
Chicken Bouillon cubes
Parsley Flakes

Easy steps to homestyle, tasty goodness:
1) In a large soup pot, saute onion in olive oil until translucent.
2) Fill pot 2/3 full with hot water and add bouillon cubes (I usually use 3 or 4)- you could also use canned chicken broth.
3) Bring to a rolling boil and add bag of egg noodles.
4) Boil until noodles are tender (approx. 12-15 minutes), and stir occasionally.
5) Add carrots and chicken and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 10 more minutes. (I usually do a quick taste test here and add more seasoning if it needs it.)
6) Sprinkle parsley flakes on top and serve!!!

Nutella Hot Chocolate and Homemade Whipped Cream

Ingredients
Nutella Hot Chocolate
  • 1 cup milk (I use skim)
  • 2½ Tbsp Nutella
  • 1 Tbsp Cocoa
  • Tiny pinch of salt
Homemade Whipped Cream
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 2 Tbsp Sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
Hot Chocolate
  1. In a small sauce pan over medium heat, whisk all ingredients together until well blended and hot.
  2. Pour in a cup and top with homemade whipped cream and shaved chocolate.
Homemade Whipped Cream
  1. Place a medium bowl and your beaters from your electric mixer in the freezer for 10 minutes (this helps the whipped cream stiffen faster)
  2. Pour all ingredients into the chilled bowl and start to beat.
  3. Start off on low and gradually work your way up to high. It will be done when it is the consistency of ..well…whipped cream.
  4. Don’t over beat.

Notes
The whipped cream makes several servings. The Nutella Hot Chocolate itself only serves one.

Cauliflower Popcorn

Cauliflower popcorn

Break a head of cauliflower into popcornlike, bite-size florets, then spread them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Spray the cauliflower lightly with butter-flavor cooking spray, then sprinkle lightly with turmeric, freshly ground pepper, and sea salt.

Bake 20 to 30 minutes at 425 degrees F or until the cauliflower is slightly browned.

Hair Growing Tips!

1. Wen Conditioning Cleanser – I love this sulfate-free shampoo for several reasons, but its knack for keeping hair’s natural oils intact helps tremendously with regrowing.
.
2. Aveda Invati Scalp Revitalizer – Spray it on your scalp after a shower and then massage it in. I’ve noticed a difference in the thickness of my hair and definitely attribute it to this—and my stylist has commented on how healthy my scalp & follicles look! (I also alternate the invati shampoo/conditioner in with my wen, using it 1-2 times per week).
.
3. MoroccanOil – I use this on just the ends of my hair to keep it moisturized and prevent split ends.
.
4. Wide tooth comb – Keeps breakage to a minimum! Comb carefully from the ends and work your way up.

5. Hydrate – It’s no secret that drinking a healthy amount of water every day improves your overall health, but it also aids in healthy hair (and nail!) growth, not to mention that well-hydrated glow. I’m an 80-ounces-a-day kind of girl. I track it using washi tape on a 16 ounce tumbler.

6. Exercise – Did you know that getting your blood pumping helps your hair grow? It does, and there is no better motivation for me to go out and bike 25 miles than the thought that I might come home with longer hair.

Hair Tips!

1. Mix a tsp of apple cider vinegar and a teaspoon of glycerin. Mix the ingredients until smooth. Mix in a beaten egg. Mix well. Add 2 Tablespoons of caster oil. Thoroughly mix. Apply the mask on the entire length of the hair. Place the plastic cap and wrap your head with a towel. Leave the mask on your hair for 2 hours. After wash your hair using shampoo. The mask should be done 2 times a week. Do this for 1 month. After 1 month, you can make masks for prevention – Apply 1 time in 2 weeks.

2. Egg yolks won’t only make your hair softer, shinier, and healthier, but it helps you to grow it out long as well. Mix 2 egg yolks with 2 tbsp of olive oil, dilute the mixture by adding a cup of water, and then slowly and thoroughly massage this mask into your scalp. Give your hair and scalp 15 to 20 minutes to absorb all the needed nutrients and then rinse off.
