{"id":589,"date":"2016-09-02T16:07:47","date_gmt":"2016-09-02T23:07:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/gradteam\/?page_id=589"},"modified":"2016-09-03T20:57:26","modified_gmt":"2016-09-04T03:57:26","slug":"our-programs","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/gradteam\/our-programs\/","title":{"rendered":"Our Programs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There are three main areas of graduate student programming currently offered through the Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology (CTLT): our Graduate Student Program, the support we offer departmental TA Training Programs, and our Certificate Program in Advanced Teaching and Learning.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Our Graduate Student Program consists of workshops, seminars, and one-on-one coaching on teaching and related topics (see list below).<\/li>\n<li>The support we offer for departmental <a class=\"external text\" href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/gradteam\/ta-training\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">TA Training Programs<\/a> ranges from consultation on proposals for the <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/vpacademic.ubc.ca\/ta-training-programs\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">TA Training Fund<\/a>, to offering customized sessions on various teaching topics.<\/li>\n<li>The <a class=\"external text\" href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/gradteam\/our-programs\/catl-gcp\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">Certificate Program in Advanced Teaching and Learning<\/a> is a 1.5 year cohort program with a <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/ctlt2013.sites.olt.ubc.ca\/files\/2010\/09\/gcp_practicum_plan_2.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow\">practicum<\/a> and <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/ctlt2013.sites.olt.ubc.ca\/files\/2010\/09\/mentorship_guidelines_2.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow\">mentoring<\/a> components, and a Scholarship in Teaching and Learning component. The program is intended for Teaching Assistants wishing to prepare for a career in teaching and learning in higher education. This program re-launched in September 2015. The Certificate Program in Advanced Teaching and Learning is open to all graduate students who have completed an Instructional Skills Workshop and will remain students at UBC for the 1.5 year duration of the program. The deadline to apply for the Certificate Program in Advanced Teaching and Learning 2016-2017 cohort is May 31, 2016. It is a palette of non-credit workshops, seminars and other activities designed to complement your graduate program\u2019s academic curriculum and mentorship experience.
