{"id":62,"date":"2024-05-20T15:42:35","date_gmt":"2024-05-20T22:42:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/gramling\/?page_id=62"},"modified":"2024-06-03T18:08:14","modified_gmt":"2024-06-04T01:08:14","slug":"in-progress","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/gramling\/in-progress\/","title":{"rendered":"in-progress"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There are five book-length projects I&#8217;d really like to get out before 2030.<\/p>\n<p>One is an auto-theory book\u00a0<em>Aloof: On Seeing Less than you Should.<\/em><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Another is a co-authored monograph with Aniruddha Dutta called\u00a0<em>Translating Transgender\u00a0<\/em>(Routledge) based on our co-edited double issue of\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dukeupress.edu\/translating-transgender#:~:text=An%20issue%20of%3A%20TSQ%3A%20Transgender%20Studies%20Quarterly&amp;text=This%20issue%20of%20Transgender%20Studies,formal%20way%20over%20the%20centuries.\">Transgender Studies Quarterly<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>A third is a book of essays called\u00a0<em>To Be Born,\u00a0<\/em>based admiringly on Joan Didion&#8217;s\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/us.macmillan.com\/books\/9780374531386\/slouchingtowardsbethlehem\">Slouching Toward Bethlehem<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!--more-->A fourth is a novel called <a href=\"https:\/\/biblehub.com\/leviticus\/25-3.htm\"><em>Leave<\/em><\/a>. Or if I can&#8217;t do that, a at least a book of poems called\u00a0<em>If You Happen to be Free, <\/em>or <em>The Splits. <\/em>I can&#8217;t decide.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The fifth is another, unidentified literary translation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p class=\"post-excerpt\">There are five book-length projects I&#8217;d really like to get out before 2030.
