The “GRS” program is UBC’s hidden gem for unique individuals with an interest in both arts and sciences, and a strong passion for tackling socio-environmental issues on a local and global scale. Students choose a resource and a region of the world to specialize in over the course of their degree, and develop experience through self-directed study, exchange, or employment abroad. Through GRS, I have met some of the wackiest people I know – most intelligent, well-rounded, empathetic, and just plain wacky
