All types of business encounter external threats that stop it from progressing, and there always lies an issue in balancing the environment with technology, a significant factor of development promoting nation’s prosperity. The news informs that a delegation of first nation chiefs came to protest against the federal government’s proposal of constructing a hydroelectric  megaproject in B.C., stating the government is destroying their land and wild habitat and therefore causing troubles to the local’s life.  The objection would either prolong the project once it has been approved or even make the government abandon the construction. Also, the delegation was confident with the case where a federal-provincial review panel report had been presented, putting an extreme pressure on the government. However, looking at the business itself, as Victoria has argued, it would stabilize the energy supply while the population is booming, and more importantly, the project would benefit the province as the area needs purer hydroelectric to promote the surrounding oil, gas, and mining industries. Hence, if the project fails to be placed, it would be considered a great loss to the associated industries since there would be unnecessary money and effort wasting on seeking pure energy source.
