The sale of IPhone 6 was incredibly high within the first week of its debut, exceeded the sales of previous inventories by a large margin. The result seems quite astonishing, indicating that there were many customers keep purchasing Apple products even though the company failed to give new innovations after the release of IPhone 4. Owning a large group of loyal customers guarantees the sale. A large portion of the consumers already owned an iPhone 5 or 5S, but they kept purchasing new phones because of the premium brand. The mean of purchase has somehow been twisted. Most people are not buying for the technology, but rather the fashion that the products have been associated with. Looking at the market of smartphones, there is a variety of options with even higher cost-performance ratio, but people keep purchasing IPhones because they are cool. Also, it’s interesting to see how people seeking to make money by reselling. As China was not included in the list of debut countries, the price of iPhone 6 has gone twice as much as the official price, and the production shortage left scalpers a more aggressive market.
