For the purpose of this project, it is not our intention thoroughly analyze the numerical statistics of the current Canadian economy nor is it our interest to provide precise and calculated policies to be implemented. The economy of the state is just like gas prices; different factors change every single day. Thus it is for the ministry of wealth to make adjustments based on the current state of our society. Our goal is to simply provide outlines of certain aspects we would like to see improved immediately and our general proposal to improve them. This section makes references to other modern states while drawing inspiration primarily from Mozi as none of the other early Chinese philosophers seemed particularly interested in increasing economic activity or the wealth of the state. Both Confucians and the Daoists/individualists seem to take a rather passive stance in regards to the society’s wealth in which they believe through self-cultivation and learning wealth and prosperity will come naturally which conflicts with our belief of materialistic fulfillment enabling moral growth.
