Thank you to all who have already responded with interest to the initial email about the UBC Graduate Students in Nursing Association (GSNA)!

If you are interested in attending the inaugural meeting, it will be on Tuesday, October 18th at 4:15pm in the grad lab. We aim to be very respectful of the many demands on everyone’s time and keep meetings to a minimum, both in frequency and duration. Typically, the executive will be the only ones meeting, but in these early stages, we need to establish a process to form an executive, determine our strategic directions as an association and articulate some short-term goals to get us started. So, anyone is welcome to meet who is interested in hearing more about what the GSNA is doing, sharing ideas about what the GSNA could do, or who already knows they are interested in being involved (perhaps on the executive). This conversation is open to all grad students in nursing at UBC. No need to RSVP, just come as you are! We will aim to finish be 5pm and will adjourn at 5:15 at the latest.

We are aware that many graduate students are not anywhere near campus (or even the Lower Mainland). We would be happy to arrange teleconference by Skype if anyone needs to attend from a distance. Please email us with your skype name so we can be on each other’s contact list prior to Tuesday’s meeting.
