PROFESSIONAL GROWTH PLAN

YEAR 2016

Han Sol Choi

A. Goals

General: The development of in class practices for the development of literacy, numeracy, and other forms of communication and understanding for young learners.

1. Explore different emergent literacy programs
2. Incorporate inquiry into every unit
3. Further develop Aboriginal perspectives in lesson

B. Areas of Focus

General:

1. Look into different literacy programs (DRA, etc).
2. Look at different units online and see real examples of inquiry.
3. Create a garden or an outdoor project for students to learn about land and place.

C. Activities

1. Planning at least two meaningful field trips to enhance learning.
2. Ensuring parental involvement when teaching indigeneity.

D. Professional Growth Plan Involvement

E. Self-Evaluation

1. Creating a “self-completion” rubric for students to fill out.
2. Creating a bulletin with all of the learning objectives that I would like to hit.
