My name is Han Wu and I am from Faculty of Arts, Economic Program.

Since my study life in high school, I have decided that I would choose faculty of arts in my university as I have much stronger interests on Arts than any other field. However, due to the plentiful disciplines that are included in arts, I did experience an tough period at the beginning of my university life to decide which field to study.

However, after two years study life in university, I am happy now that I do know what interests me most, and I am proud to say that I am going to do some research in the intersection of economics and environment. I have taken many geography courses and plan to minor in geography since I am really fascinated with the magic of nature. Also, I have been doing volunteer in an environment-protect organization trying to apply my knowledge learnt in the class into the real life. Yet during my volunteer experience in this organization, I found that our current living environment is severely threaten by the demand of developing economics. Solution that can balance the relationship between demand of humans and environment may be pointed out if more people choose study in this field. I wish the concept of sustainability can be applied more widely so that the relationship between human and environment would not be aggravated. Therefore, I decide to do research on intersection of environment and economics and hopefully I can make my own contribution to solve the problems that development causes to the environment.
