Based on the presentation to the Haro Park Centre’s Residents Council, the proposed ideas for a renovation plan were accepted well. The residents and staff who participated in the focus groups and surveys agreed with the ideas and enjoyed the thought of changed.
The main criticism based on the public presentation was in regards to the stage II renovations in which the main entrance would be moved to Bute St. The problem that arose was in regards to the slope of Bute street which may make access to the wheelchair ramp difficult for some senior residents. This issue is definitely one that could be overcome with more work and design research into the area.
