- July 2012 – Present “Lithograph & Etching Work Shop”
I am interested in art and drawing, so I joined the “Lithograph& Etching Work Shop” in July. Even though I have to spend lots of time doing this, I always looked forward to completing my projects. I loved this time. I learned that becoming a great artist needs to be patient !!
Through this workshop, I met a famous artist in Lithograph Art as my teacher and she required me to display my works in a school gallery. I was great to hear her request , so I will plan to held an exhibition next May 😀
The title of my first art is “Expectation”, so I drawed a girl who waited for someone in front of train. I want to express that my heart is beating when I meet new people and experiences.
The second art is “On my way home”. I motivated this painting from my picture I took in Japan. In the picture, there were department store and many cars at night. It reminds me of good memory at that time.
- May 2012 – June 2012 ” Visual Design Exhibition ”
Visual design and Industrial Design major held an exhibition to celebrate our courses of summer semester. There were great works that chosen from students’. I felt rewarded, when I displayed projects that gave me a hard time.
Especially, making two kinds of posters and doing team project were impressive art works to me. I learned how to send messages to others by using simple sign and symbol. I implied different contents in what I draw. To be specific, I made a “TITANIC” movie poster combined impact two stories. One is their romantic love between the rich and the poor by drawing “Blue Diamond”.The other was the sinking of the Titanic because of enormous glacier. I also made a poster to promote image of local city “Icheon”, this place is famous for rice in Korea. I tried to advertise their “Rice Festival” that is not very well-known by adding to the delightful atomosphere in project.
For team project , I did “Installation Art”. It was a challenge for me, because the only thing we could use were tapes. I have to search right place to do and adjust other opinions.Finally, we could decorate our campus by using individual talents and ideas. I realized that art & design comes form our daily life.Everything that we’re sitting near can be an absolute masterpiece!!
- December 2010- Present Acting Club “OPENING”
I am an actress and performance staff in acting club called “OPENING”. We always held one perfect performance in every Christmas season in front of whole students in auditorium hall. I did two muscial performance named “THE PLAY” and ” HARMONY” as a main character. Our team practice this play everyday after school for 5 hours. At first, it was too hard for me to adjust times between major studies and club activity. Therefore, I learned how to manage my times more appropriately and I become more confident.
