Welcome to my blog!  My name is Helen Rogan.  I am a high-school teacher who has taught various subjects connected to the humanities over the last 20 years.  This site will reflect my journey through ETEC 540.  I was really drawn to the image I have included above.   To me it represents how communication can happen in so many different forms!  I am looking forward to exploring the links between text and technology, and how that is influencing how we communicate.  As a teacher I believe literacy skills have a tremendous impact on how students learn, and have noticed how technology has changed and is continuing to change the landscape of how students read and communicate.  My goal is to take an informed approach when designing learning experiences for students, and I’m sure ETEC 540 will contribute to my professional development!
