Characteristics: Happy and friendly. Prominent bracts look like butterfly wings. Long peduncle – stem of inflorescence with tiny flowers. Works well with green/grey. Creosote smell. Sold as L. stoechas.
Growing conditions: It needs good drainage or will die. Can tolerate significant drought. Prefers gravely slopes. Ideal for xeriscape gardens, good on a north facing slope.
