Characteristics: Pointy spikes that look like a miniature Verbascum. V. spicata is a very variable species. Comes in white, pink, bright blue. Looser in the shade (up to 90cm). Long bloom, very reliable, always grows. Hebes are sometimes classified as Veronicas- their flowers are identical.
Growing conditions: Well-drained soil, sun. Great for front of border.
