Welcome to the Hidden Geographies self-guided tour at UBC!

Follow the map in the pamphlet to uncover hidden geographies on the UBC Point Grey campus, located on the unceded and ancestral land of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) people, who have been stewards of this land since time and memorial.

With each entry we hope you learn more about the land we work, study, play, and live on by understanding its rich history and stories this land holds. We want to draw into question how these spaces can influence our actions in the present into the future.

Although the entries are presented in a specific order here do not get bound to it. There is no correct order to complete this photo caching, explore the UBC campus on your own path and come back here to learn more about specific locations.

Have fun!

Participants earn a chance to win a locally sourced, artisanal gift basket that showcases the best of BC. One raffle ticket per entry visited will be allocated participants. To participate in the raffle submit by email to azelie.blanchette@ubc.ca with a picture of yourself at the visited location(s) to be included in the raffle.

Brochures are also available at the WDCAG registration desk, located in the undergraduate lounge of the Geography Building.
