This includes the strategic reuse of waste materials\u2014wood, plastics, textiles, and more. Our work spans thermoforming recycled plastics, developing composite layups using reconstituted wood fiber, and supporting post-burn reforestation through tree regrowth systems. We are currently designing a demonstration pavilion that integrates our \u201czippered wood\u201d approach with other techniques developed within the lab. Our goal is to construct original, high-performance structures almost entirely from upcycled materials using accessible, low-barrier tools.
