EDUC315A School-based Orientation Practicum

  • This was a week long short practicum to get us in contact with the school where we would do our long 10 week practicum.

EDUC421D School-based Extended Practicum: Secondary

  • Advisors:
    • SA: Nancy Campos
      • I cannot say enough good things about Nancy. She was such a strong support for me during my practicum. Her criticism was always constructive and I never felt uncomfortable having her watch my classes. It was an honour to have her as my SA.
    • FA: Joel Hermann
      • Joel is the sweetest and kindest teacher. Most FAs are subject specific and travel around to different schools to see their TCs. I was at a “project school” where my FA was at the school full time. I was very lucky to have him available to talk to and meet with weekly. I was also lucky that Joel is a socials teacher so his advice was especially pertinent to me.

EDUC451B Inquiry Seminar II

    • Kal Heer is a joy to have as an instructor. He is a social studies teacher in Kelowna. He has a very unique and funny style and always has a joke or something supportive to say to you.

EDUC452B Inquiry Seminar III

    • I liked Kal so much that I made sure to have him as an instructor for my next inquiry class.
