  • Instructor:Sylvia Helmer
    • I started off this course in Ken Cooper’s class. In the first class he made a sexist comment so I decided to switch out. I ended up in Sylvia Helmer’s class. She is a very unique individual. She provided us with many concrete instructional strategies and activities that we can use in the classroom.

LLED361 Literacy Practices and Assessment: Secondary

  • Instructor: Peter Hill
    • It was fascinating to have an “old school” teacher like Peter Hill. Sometimes he made sexist or off-colour comments but he seemed to realize when he did this and even apologized once the day after he had made a sexist comment. We had some heated discussions in class which made the class a little more interesting.
