MECH 423 teaches fundamental concepts in electrical and mechanical design that enable\u00a0students to develop\u00a0innovative\u00a0mechatronic products. Key topics include data acquisition, user interfaces, embedded systems, motor control, rapid prototyping, product innovation, and\u00a0interfaces for sensors and actuators. A central aspect of the class is a final project where students take the initiative to conceive, propose, develop, and build a mechatronic product. Students are given complete latitude in proposing their projects, where\u00a0ambition and creativity are encouraged and supported. After graduation, students often\u00a0find\u00a0these projects to be an\u00a0effective\u00a0demonstration of their skills, which\u00a0can be\u00a0leveraged into interesting jobs and careers.<\/p>\n
