For Part 1 of the Case Study discussed in class on November 13, my group had come to the conclusion that immediate thing we should do is to consult the local people of the village. This idea connects back to our discussion of failing to include the local peoples’ needs when developing. After consulting the village people, we would propose to rent out a generator for the village people and leave ourselves. Even though this would mean that we would not be able to finish the project we set out to do, we decided that providing people with access to water as being more critical than whatever project we were doing. For Part 2, we decided that we would give the youth the water she required even though we would not be able to provide some for the entire community. In the moment, our emotions and desire to help would have overtook our rational thought of being fair to the entire community. If this scenario were to continue, then we would have a discussion with the rest of the community regarding not being able to provide water to anyone. For Part 3, we decided we would stay on the project depending on how much we disagreed with what was being done.
