I come from another planet…
Unlike my fellow classmates, I graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (BPharm, Hons) and did my master degree with the University of Sunderland (MSc in Clin Pharm). Then I completed my residency and undertook an assignment to implement clinical service in a general medical and geriatric ward in Kwong Wah Hospital.
The turning point was the clinical attachment to the University of Illinois, Chicago. The opportunity to experience advanced clinical pharmacy practice was the major drive for my subsequent undertaking of the Board of Pharmacy Specialties examination and application for the PharmD program.
Being grateful for the opportunity, I would strive to test my limit and to push my perspective in clinical pharmacy to another level in the coming 20 months; and hopefully, I would be able to return to Hong Kong and implement the model of teaching practitioner, which I believe to be of utmost importance in educating future clinical pharmacists.
Enough of the boring stuff…a bit about my personal life:
I love hiking and traveling:
Hiking – most of my weekends are spent hiking with my friends, in preparation of an annual hiking event called trailwalker:

Traveling – experiencing foreign culture is the gist of traveling, so I always try to do something besides touristy sightseeing e.g.
– Organic farming in Japan
– Hiking in Kota Kinabalu and Nepal
– Learning French in Toulouse
– Internship in HangZhou
– and ultimately, PharmD in Canada =)
PS: I am also a plant freak…moving up the latitude exposes me to new range of flora and vegetation. I can’t wait to get acquainted with these new friends.
