\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>The University of Ottawa\u2019s School of International Development and Global Studies is introducing a new PhD program in International Development. The program is now accepting applications for September 2013. Designed for students both from academic and professional backgrounds, this exciting program is unique in Canada and one of the few of its kind in the world.
\n<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>
\nThe program features:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>
\n<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>
\n– An opportunity to undertake advanced studies in a truly interdisciplinary program<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>
\n– Extensive research opportunities in one of the 4 major areas of specialization of the School,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>
\n– A faculty with practical experience in many developing and emerging countries<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>
\n– A curriculum that integrates development theory and development policy and practice
\n– A location in the heart of Ottawa that facilitates strong linkages to government agencies and foreign embassies, but also with more than 200 non-governmental organizations and advocacy groups<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>

\nDeadline for application is January 15th, 2013 for Canadian students and December 1st, 2012 for international students.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>
