{"id":2403,"date":"2013-02-18T12:53:56","date_gmt":"2013-02-18T19:53:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/idrnblog\/?p=2403"},"modified":"2013-02-18T12:53:56","modified_gmt":"2013-02-18T19:53:56","slug":"your-solutions-for-international-sustainability","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/idrnblog\/2013\/02\/18\/your-solutions-for-international-sustainability\/","title":{"rendered":"Your Solutions for International Sustainability"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sustainia is an international sustainability initiative that is launching <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sustainia.me\/general-news\/sustainia-in-search-of-global-solutions-to-ignite-sustainable-transformation\/\">Sustainia100<\/a>, a global campaign to identify 100 readily available solutions with great potential to drive sustainable development across key industries and markets.\u00a0From <strong>February 11<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0till March 22<\/strong><sup><strong>nd<\/strong> \u00a0<\/sup>passionate individuals, start-ups, NGOs and established companies can <strong>nominate solutions and projects <\/strong>or tip on potential Sustainia100 candidates.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sustainia.me\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-2405\" title=\"Screen shot 2013-02-18 at 11.50.32 AM\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/idrnblog\/files\/2013\/02\/Screen-shot-2013-02-18-at-11.50.32-AM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"168\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/idrnblog\/files\/2013\/02\/Screen-shot-2013-02-18-at-11.50.32-AM.png 291w, https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/idrnblog\/files\/2013\/02\/Screen-shot-2013-02-18-at-11.50.32-AM-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 168px) 100vw, 168px\" \/><\/a>It is the second year, Sustainia will be publishing its list of 100 inspiring and groundbreaking sustainability and climate solutions.\u00a0The campaign, Sustainia100, <strong>is also\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sustainia.me\/submission-form\/\">open to submissions<\/a> of international projects<\/strong>, technologies, and state-of-art innovation in at least one of 10 categories: Buildings, food, fashion, transportation, IT, education, energy, health, cities, and resources.<\/p>\n<p>Behind the initiative is Arnold Schwarzenegger\u2019s green initiative Regions20, UN Global Compact and the Nobel Sustainability Trust, among many others. This year to further raise awareness of the potential of existing solutions, Sustainia is teaming up with the European Commission\u2019s campaign \u2018A world you like.
