I&#8217;m a bit of a noobie when it comes to today&#8217;s social media, however I did have an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/secure.wikimedia.org\/wikipedia\/en\/wiki\/Open_Diary\">OpenDiary<\/a> back in the day (and this was pre-LiveJournal)!<\/p>\n<p>Here is my still-pretty-new\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/_iGeekGirl_\">Twitter<\/a> and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/igeekgirl\/\">Flickr feed<\/a>. I also have a fairly long standing\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/facebook.com\/ayegeekgirl\">Facebook profile<\/a> (which I created after\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/tech.fortune.cnn.com\/2010\/11\/19\/how-facebook-learned-from-myspaces-mistakes\/\">the great exodus from MySpace<\/a>) and I have a blog and linked in profile in the works (you can find a link to these from my twitter). Also, if it helps to have these links all on one place, and you&#8217;d like to know more about me, here is\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/web.simmons.edu\/~ramosmr\/code_trail_1\/michele_ramos_introduction.html\">my online profile<\/a> for another course I am taking this summer.<\/p>\n<p>Lately I&#8217;ve been interested in using\u00a0 social media as a means of &#8220;building my digital reputation&#8221; (borrowed from the syllabus) and I&#8217;ve started modeling my social media usage after a couple librarian bloggers:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/librarianinblack.net\/librarianinblack\/\">Librarian In Black<\/a> and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/laurendodd.com\/\">Lauren in Libraryland<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Overall I am pretty excited about using social media and the value of social networking and engagement.<\/p>\n<p>This is the blog I will be using for the course.
