On behalf of the McCaig Institute for Bone and Joint Health, I am thrilled to invite you to an event that promises to inspire and inform: the Cy Frank Legacy Lectureship 2024.<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s keynote speaker, Dr. Robyn Tamblyn, BScN, MSc, PhD, CM, is not only a former trainee of Dr. Frank but also a passionate advocate for health innovation. Her journey and dedication mirror Dr. Frank&#8217;s own commitment to transforming lives through research. In her presentation, &#8220;Innovations in Clinical Care,&#8221; Dr. Tamblyn will share groundbreaking insights and personal stories that underscore the profound impact of Dr. Frank&#8217;s mentorship and vision.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Tamblyn is a Professor of Medicine and James McGill Chair at McGill University. Her notable contributions as a Medical Scientist at the McGill University Health Centre and as the former Scientific Director of the CIHR Institute of Health Services and Policy Research have been recognized with numerous awards, including the ACFAS Bombardier award and the John P. Hubbard Award. Dr. Tamblyn, who was appointed to the Order of Canada, has significantly improved Canada&#8217;s health care system through her innovative work in medication use and clinical competence evaluation. In 2019, she was elected as a Fellow to the Royal Society of Canada and appointed Director of the Division of Clinical Epidemiology at the McGill University Health Centre.<\/p>\n<p>Attending this event provides a unique opportunity to gain deep insights into the latest advancements in clinical care.
