Indigenous Music: What this website is about

Hi there! I am a student at the University of British Columbia and I am taking a course called FNIS 100, First Nations and Indigenous Studies. This website is a collection of various sources about Indigenous music that I have found while researching my term paper on the same topic. I have collected a range of books, online scholarly articles, music videos, and sound files. Because of copyright, I have not included any articles within this website itself but I have included a citation which should, hopefully, give you all the information you need to find it yourself. The sources are sorted by artist, genre, and type of medium, so you can search in whichever way you want using the menu to the left. If you would like to see every source, click on the category called “All Sources.” Every post on this site is within this category, so it would be a good place to start if you aren’t sure what you’re looking for. I hope this site helps you with your research, or teaches you something new! Thanks for visiting!

Also, a note for Professor Gaertner:

I will continue to update this website if I find more interesting sources while I finish my paper over the next week. I understand that this will be past the deadline for this assignment, but I would like for this website to have as many sources as possible.
