FINAL WRITTEN PROJECT GRADING RUBRIC

Completion (50%)

– Length (as a general guideline):  2 pages single spaced; 4 pages double spaced.

Content (40%):

The essay should be concise and to-the-point, and should show rich development of ideas rather than simply to fill the length limit.

The essay shall focus mainly on reflective thought progression of learning and challenge the student encountered rather than challenging the reader.

The essay should have originality, and show progression of learning.  It should demonstrate growth in critical analysis of the information presented, rather than simply regurgitating article ideas, and draw on own experiences (if applicable) and previous knowledge.

The journal should show connections on how the session has helped in learning objectives for the week and previous weeks.

The materials that can be reflected upon include: reading, discussion, guest lecture, as well as links/videos/resources

Syntax/Grammar/Formality (10%):

Grammar/syntax should not distract the reader from the ideas, and the tone and word choice of the entries should be formal.
