Bio

Here is a bit about myself:

I graduated from UBC in 2001 with a B.A. degree in Philosophy. I then spent the next 5 years working with children and adults as an ESL instructor in Taiwan. Having chosen this career path, I felt a need to receive professional training in the field. I returned to Vancouver to study and received my TESL diploma and then my B.Ed. degree in Elementary education shortly thereafter.

When I went through the B.Ed. programs, the integration of technology in education had always been a special interest of mine. One of my instructors suggested that I enroll in the MET program, and I knew right away that this was what I wanted to do. The program is a union of my interest with my career: technology and education. And here I am today!

I cannot wait to learn all I can about how educators and learners could make use of technology to enhance the learning experience. I want to help learners gain the skills they need to succeed in a digitally driven future. Read on to learn more about my beliefs in education and technology.
