Outline for the Week:
Start off by watching the following lessons. If you haven’t already seen the Scratch lessons from week 1, please watch those before proceeding.
Lessons:
Lesson 1 – Advanced Scratch Features
**END OF VIDEOS FOR ASSIGNMENT 1 – SCRATCH GAME**
Lesson 2 – Creating Animation
Lesson 3 – Sound Effects and Dialog Boxes
Activities:
Once you have completed the first video lesson of this week, you should be ready to finish your game. You should utilize the skills that we have been developing in the Week 1 videos and in the first video from this week. With those skills, you will be able to build a fun and complete game!
Once your game is submitted, watch the next two videos that are available above. After those videos, you are ready to start working on your Scratch Assignment 2 – Three Minute Disney Movie. This assignment will be due at the end of week 3 on February 17, 2017.
During the week, also engage your classmates in the Edmodo discussion forum related to Efficiency in Programming. You should outline different ways that you used various blocks or strategies within Scratch to help make your programming more efficient.
Assessments:
After you have completed your game, go to Edmodo, log into your account, and submit your game into the proper folder for Assignment 1. Please ensure when you submit your game, that your game is made public on Scratch and that you also submit the documentation as detailed in the assignment outline. Also, submit a link to your game into the “Sharing Our Games!” discussion board on Edmodo.
