He holds a Masters of Arts in International Relations from the <a href=\"http:\/\/ips.cap.anu.edu.au\/ir\/\" target=\"_blank\">Australian National University<\/a> and a Bachelor of Business Administration and Public Policy from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wiso.uni-hamburg.de\/fachbereiche\/sozialoekonomie\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hamburg University<\/a>for Economics and Politics. Jan studied at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.udsm.ac.tz\/\" target=\"_blank\">University of Dar es Salaam<\/a> in Tanzania focusing on sociology and economics. Prior to his graduate work he coordinated grassroots\u2019 community programs in Botswana for two years. This work in the non-governmental sector of international development spurred his interest in transnational politics and international ethics. His dissertation focuses on the interactions of non-state actors and intergovernmental organizations in relation to state sovereignty.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jan L\u00fcdert is a PhD candidate in the department of Political Science.
