When I first saw this branch I was quite surprised, not because it was a broken tree branch but because I found it in a parkade. It was interesting to see a tree branch in such an area because there are no trees around the building. Due to the lack of trees in the area, I realized that this tree branch might have travelled here through different weather conditions such as wind and rain. I wonder where this branch came from, where is the tree that it fell off of and how long has it been detached and travelling on its own? Because this small branch is so textured and detailed I can only imagine what the tree looks like! Relating it back to the reading by McNamara I tried to draw both my sketch without the use of an eraser, it was interesting to build off my mistakes and make them into something I wanted. Also, I will definitely be trying blind contouring to see how my sketches  will differ by not looking at the paper.
