I come from a long line of educators in my family. I feel like being a teacher runs in my blood. My inspiration for becoming an educator is to make a difference in the lives of students. I love the uniqueness in this profession and that no day is the same as the other. Every year you get new students and can adapt how you teach a lesson. I love the flexibility this profession offers.
I love how this profession forces oneself to grow. I learn so much from teaching, self-reflecting and from the wide range of students that walk into my life. Thinking back to my educational experiences, I remember the educators that I had that stood out to me. They were the teachers that took the time out of their life to improve the lives of their students and their well-being. I remember the way that made me feel as a student and now I want to know that feeling from a teacher’s perspective. I want to grow alongside my students and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
