I believe that a teachers role should be to provide students with opportunities to grow, learn, and explore through educating the heart, soul and mind.
I aspire to be a teacher that makes a difference in the lives of others. Every student is different and no work day is exactly the same in this career. I welcome the fact that every student learns in a variety of ways and I try to adapt multiple ways of teaching to target various students learning methods. It is my responsibility to get students excited about the material I am teaching and my aim is to keep them engaged and interested in what they are expected to learn.
I want to create a classroom environment that focuses on more than just classroom management. There is so much more that goes into creating a safe and positive learning environment for students that goes far beyond classroom management. I want to create and maintain a positive classroom environment where students feel safe, comfortable and inspired to be creative. I inspire to teach the required material in an engaging manor that is catered to spark students in a personal and meaningful way through designing lessons that are relevant and open for them to engage in projects that reflect their personal interests.
My core teaching philosophy is centered through caring for my students and their well-being. Taking the time out of my day to listen and be supportive to their learning needs and having them know that they matter is what I hope to be able to do throughout my teaching career. As a teacher it is my personal goal to always stay passionate, remain interested, and be involved/invested in the lives of my students. I also inspire for my classroom to be a safe space where students can communicate with their peers, have personal reflective time, and communicate effectively.
It is my hope that I will teach and create an environment so that my students will grow on a personal level. I hope to encourage them to create, connect and place effort into their work and most importantly apply themselves; even when the moments are difficult.
