The Journal of the Canadian Historical Association \/ Revue de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 historique du Canada <\/em>is published by the Canadian Historical Association with the financial assistance of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, Carleton University, and the University of British Columbia and is a continuation of the earlier series, Annual Reports<\/em> and Historical Papers<\/em> of the Canadian Historical Association (1922-1965) and Historical Papers<\/em> (1966-1989).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La\u00a0Revue de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 historique du Canada \/ Journal of the Canadian Historical Association\u00a0<\/em>est publi\u00e9e par la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 historique du Canada avec l\u2019aide financi\u00e8re du Conseil de recherches en sciences humaines, l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Carleton et l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de la Colombie-Britannique. Elle est une continuation des s\u00e9ries\u00a0Rapports annuels<\/em>\u00a0et\u00a0Communications historiques<\/em>\u00a0de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 historique du Canada (1922-1965) et\u00a0Communications historiques<\/em>\u00a0(1966-1989).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 1922 as the Report of the Annual Meeting<\/em> (from 1966-1989 published under the title Historical Papers<\/em>) the Journal of the Canadian Historical Association \/ Revue de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Historique du Canada<\/em> publishes papers in English and French in any field that opens up new avenues of historical enquiry, explores a subject previously treated in a fresh and promising fashion, and\/or employs a method or approach of interest to historians working outside the narrow specialization of the paper in question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Journal seeks to represent historians working in Canada, both those researching Canadian history and those focusing on other regions. One way we do so is to invite scholars to submit revised versions of their papers presented at the annual meeting. We also accept article manuscripts not presented at the conference but that make similar contributions to our understanding of Canadian history and\/or that disseminate the work of historians with connections to Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fond\u00e9e en 1922 sous le nom de Report of the Annual Meeting \/ Rapports annuels de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 historique du Canada<\/em> (1922-1965) et Communications historiques<\/em> (1966-1989), la Revue de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Historique du Canada \/ Journal of the Canadian Historical Association<\/em> publie des articles en anglais et en fran\u00e7ais dans tous les domaines qui ouvrent de nouvelles voies \u00e0 la recherche historique, qui explorent un sujet d\u00e9j\u00e0 trait\u00e9 de fa\u00e7on nouvelle et prometteuse, et\/ou qui emploient une m\u00e9thode ou une approche int\u00e9ressante pour les historien\u00b7e\u00b7s travaillant en dehors de la sp\u00e9cialisation \u00e9troite de l’article en question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Revue cherche \u00e0 repr\u00e9senter les historien\u00b7ne\u00b7s travaillant au Canada, tant ceux et celles qui font des recherches sur l’histoire canadienne que ceux qui se concentrent sur d’autres r\u00e9gions. Pour ce faire, nous invitons notamment les chercheurs et chercheuses \u00e0 soumettre des versions r\u00e9vis\u00e9es de leurs articles pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s lors de la r\u00e9union annuelle. Nous acceptons \u00e9galement les manuscrits d’articles qui n’ont pas \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s au colloque annuel mais qui apportent des contributions similaires \u00e0 notre compr\u00e9hension de l’histoire canadienne et\/ou qui diffusent les travaux d’historien\u00b7ne\u00b7s ayant des liens avec le Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
