I want my classroom to be a welcoming environment for my students to come and explore who they are and feel safe doing so. I am an open-minded instructor, which will help facilitate more meaningful discussion in class because I am not afraid to discuss the difficult issues. I believe in respecting those around you and letting all ideas be heard. Howard Gardener\u2019s theory on Multiple Intelligences frames a lot of my lesson plans because until I heard of the theory I did not understand why I had such a hard time learning material my friends picked up on so easily.
