English, Finance, and Philosophy
My major is English and my minor is Finance. In English major, apart from studies in literature, linguistics, and cultures, I’m interested in non-fiction and fiction composition as well as translation. I’ve learned to write short stories and commentaries, and have been proficient in Mandarin-English translation and oral translation. In finance, I’m interested in courses about investment and capital market. I also enjoy doing case challenges to apply the theories I learned to practice. It always feels good to come up with methods to solve the real-life problems with team members. My year of exchange in UBC will be focusing on English literature studies and philosophy.
