I enjoy a lot of different extracurricular activities. I’m interested in British Parliamentary debate and debate in Mandarin. I’m currently the president of the English debate society in Renmin University of China and a member of UBC debate society. I also enjoy doing case challenges with teams. These activities helped to train my critical thinking ability, teamwork, and leadership. More importantly, they helped me understand things in different fields that are interesting to know. Apart from academic activities, I enjoy hiking and photography. In China, I’m a member of a private student media outlet on Wechat. I’m responsible for editing and translating newsfeed from Western media like BBC or The Economist. I feel it meaningful to provide and share various aspects and understanding of what’s happening in the world.
