Hello everyone!

I am Jennifer Tsang, a second year student at the Sauder School of Business. Marketing is one of the three core commerce courses I am taking this term. I have had experience with marketing at one of my previous jobs as a barista of Starbucks. Starbucks launched their all new Instant coffee called VIA two years ago. My coworkers and I promoted this product by hosting taste tests for our customers. We brewed a regular coffee and a cup of this instant coffee and asked our customers to guess which was the instant coffee. To our delight, the customers could not tell the difference, which proved the high quality of the Starbucks Instant Coffee as it tasted just like a regular brew. This marketing strategy was a huge success, as a result, our store sold the most VIA instant coffees in the district.
One of my favorite ads I have seen on YouTube is the one Coca Cola created, where a large group of people run and form a Coca Cola bottle. I found the ad very impressive because it was unique and creative.
