Following the completion of the first marketing assignment, I have gained some familiarity in pointing out the different points in a SWOT from reading articles addressing a company’s current events. I found Jenny’s blog interesting and easy to relate with because I am also one of the individuals who would find it uncomfortable to constantly come in contact with the “butt brush” with a stranger. To add on to Jenny’s brief SWOT analysis, Grocery Stores are places that people visit on a weekly basis, so I think organization should be the key focus for strengths. There are a portion of customers who like to quickly run their errands at the grocery store and be able to find the products they want as efficient as possible. It is through organization that breeds familiarity within the customer, which creates a better behavioral connection. This is one of the few reasons why Target is much more successful than Zellers. In this century, people are not only looking for a deparment store/ grocery store that provides the best deals but also one that is organized and clutter-free.
Recently, a new tablet, the Asus eee Transformer Prime entered the market. It has been titled the current best tablet in the market for its ulta slim design and efficient processor. Asus brilliantly discovered the opportunity of inventing a tablet that can also be connected to a keyboard. This innovation is an Opportunity that no other company has imagined before and it definitely suits the taste of Generation Y, also known as Millennials, a generation characterized by their utter fluency and comfort with technology.
