As advised for assignment 2:2, I have completed a brief summary of research concerning the best practices for professional networking on LinkedIn.<\/p>\n

  1. Completing Profile<\/strong> \u2013 Including a header containing a professional headline and add a short summary and keywords. It is a high-level overview of your experience and job goals.<\/li>\n
  2. Revealing your character<\/strong> \u2013 <\/strong>Sharing a personal story gives a great summary of your traits, such as gratitude, humility, and humor. However, keeping it professionally relevant and tied to your career strengths.<\/li>\n
  3. Network<\/strong> \u2013 Expanding network by inviting important others into your circle; however, be aware that building a network is not a numbers game.<\/li>\n
  4. Engagement<\/strong> \u2013 Staying \u2018in the loop\u2019. Post relevant topics and join groups. Be in engaging and building a worthwhile connection.<\/li>\n
  5. Content Creation<\/strong> \u2013 Creating content such as wiring articles and making comments. Be mindful of the targeted audiences.<\/li>\n
  6. Frequency of passive and active postings<\/strong> \u2013 People who post frequently are perceived as more trustworthy and more likely to receive useful information when they ask.<\/li>\n
  7. Self-branding<\/strong> \u2013 Putting work experience and highlight accomplishments that align with career objectives. Find a way to showcase something unique and distinctive.<\/li>\n
  8. Recommendation<\/strong> \u2013 Obtaining and writing letters of recommendation. People want to know if you are a real person who has accountability. A letter of recommendation can be proof of social validation.<\/li>\n
  9. Customized URL <\/strong>\u2013 Creating a customized URL that is simple and looks professional such as LinkedIn.com\/yourname or with your initial.<\/li>\n
  10. Knowledge-sharing <\/strong>\u2013 LinkedIn is not just a networking platform but a great source of sharing knowledge. You can learn your interests from posts in a more interactive way than just Googling.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
