Introductions

In creating my first introduction, I used different compositions and layered them on top of each other to create a final project. This was an extremely time consuming part of my project, as each file for each composition required me to try different camera angles, colours, images, and animations. They all had to compliment one another to make a successful video.

In the first image, it shows my first composition. I layered 6 different files on top of each other in order to create a round ball with particle like things moving inside of it. This composition was the “orb” of the video, and I layered 4 different types of light movement within the orb to give a mirage of the colors that almost looks as though it is chasing each other. I also used 2 different types of “particles” moving around the orb to give a cool effect.

In this second image, it shows my second composition. I used 2 light shadows on the top of the frame to give a hazy look to the overall project. I played around with different colors, but the high saturation in bright colors took away attention from my orb, so I decided to use a greyish black behind my orb to give a cool effect.

In this composition, I wanted to bring an even more mysterious side to the background of the project so I decided to add in 3 layers of wavy light and once again use a shade rather than a color. I added a wavy effect as well as color correction to bring the saturation down as much as possible and the give a wavy animation to the layers.

This composition was layered with my first one to give the orb a rotation look. Instead of the particles moving just inside and out of the orb, I played around with different animations and effects to make the particles look as though they were moving around freely on the shell of the orb. I also played around a lot with color correction to make the two orbs form together and make an interesting color together. In my first composition, the orb has a strong red/orange to it and in this composition, the orb has a strong purple/blue to it. In the end, the colors formed together to make almost a pink/purple color which I really admired.

My video was too big to upload to this blog; however, I uploaded it to YouTube and it can be seen at:
